3 ways to get more wear out of your winter wardrobe

With Spring (slowly) approaching, thrifty trend lovers will be looking for ways to eke out that winter wardrobe for a few extra weeks! But with the temperature finally set to creep up, it can be difficult to achieve fashion harmony at this time of year. Lucky for you, we’re sharing our top tips on squeezing another couple of wears out of those winter woollies, even when the sun comes out!

1. Boots + Dresses

Instead of layering up those chunky winter boots with thermals, jeans and jumper-upon-jumper, team them with cute tea dresses, opaque tights and biker jackets to give your transitional style that edgy look. Ditsy prints work great for this as you can match your boots with colours in the print to pull the look together!

2. Repurpose those Blanket Scarves!A BIG winter trend in the past years has been giant blanket scarves (we’re looking at you Lenny Kravitz) – and the good news for anyone who’s invested in these super snuggly wardrobes staples is that you don’t have to put them away just yet!
Teamed with a belt you can transform your blanket scarf into a chic belted cape which will keep the chill without being as bulky as your big winter coat.
Just throw over some skinny jeans for the ultimate casual cool.

3. Swap out boots for flats

Winter is a time for indulging in all the cute boots out there – but as the January rain dries up, ballet flats are a safe and stylish footwear bet! They’re a classic style staple when paired with a tea dress and tights – and look equally great with jeans.
While the ballet style might still be a little breezy, brogues and formal sneakers are also bang on trend. The good news is you can pick up these styles with huge discounts in our footwear department right now!

We hope that with these tips you’ll be able to build a reliable transitional wardrobe to give your winter styles a few extra weeks of wear – as much as we’re looking forward to summer, we’re happy to have another couple weeks to enjoy these style tips ourselves!
